Spring clean your business website by focusing on these key things
First impressions aren’t just important for in-person… your website is an extension of you and your business and is one of your business’ most valuable tools. It’s important to give your potential clients an inside look into who you are, what you do, and how you can help.
Providing a user-friendly experience for your website visitors is key to making sure they stick around, read your content, and purchase your product or service! Not sure if your website fits the criteria? Read on to find out if your website includes these key things!
A simple and organized navigation with useful links
Your website should be easy to navigate, and have the most visited pages linked at the top for easy access. Some important pages to include would be your About, Services, and Contact pages, as well as a call-to-action button.
An about page
This is where you tell potential clients who you are, what you do, how you’re here to help them, and what makes your products and services so unique compared to your competitors. This section helps build credibility and trust with your ideal client.
A call-to-action, so you can turn visitors into paying clients
Lead website visitors to where you want them to go. Want them to schedule an appointment? Download a freebie? Call or email you? This button/call-to-action should be located in your website’s navigation, as well as throughout your website content (when relevant) and footer.
Contact information
Your website should provide potential clients with access to your contact information, whether that be a contact form, email address, and/or phone number. This can conveniently be placed in your website’s footer for access site-wide.
Social media links (if any, but a plus to have!)
This allows past, present, and future clients to stay updated on your work and what you have to offer, as well as conveniently connect with you. Socail media links can be listed in your website’s footer for easy access. You can also choose to embed social media content (such as Instagram posts) on your website directly.
By making sure your website has all of the above, your website will present itself as a professional and reliable tool to new visitors and potential new clients who visit it. Regularly auditing and revising your site with up-to-date information, including making sure your contact information and other pertinent information is correct, is a great way to make sure your clients know what exactly you offer and how to be in touch.
